Player
Isaac first picked up a basketball back in 2004. On the first day of practice, the head coach pointed out the rims, the ball, the backboard, and generally how the game is played. Fast forward to the summer of 2009 where Isaac first meets his development coach. Erick was impressed with Isaac’s dedication and was able to get him invited to train in Denmark during the summers of 2010 and 2011. Isaac was offered a professional contract there but respectfully declined to pursue a collegiate career and diploma.

Coach
Isaac has always had a passion for coaching. This began when his little brother’s high school coach asked him to step in during summer league to help coach a few tournaments. Isaac was in his last two years of high school when he accepted the part-time, volunteer position. Isaac still remembers when the opposing team had a very skilled athlete defending one of his bests. He told the center to set a ball screen and what the skilled athlete should look for. We scored on this possession and it became a staple of our offense the rest of the game. This helped Isaac to see things from the coach’s perspective to help him become a pillar in all of the offensive and defensive possessions.

Trainer
There is a major difference between coaching and training/player development. Understanding the plays of an offense is completely different from education the form of an athlete’s shot, the footwork of an athlete’s tripple threat, the general repetition of finishes around the rim and perimeter, and so on. This is why, when Isaac gathers a group of athletes, he focuses on the individual development so that the athlete can perfom on their perspective teams beyond the general offense provided by a coach.
